Week 1

High Block Practice:

Trajectory: arm crosses the body before rotating upward and outward.

Ending position: forearm at a 45 degree angle, fist higher than and away from forehead.

Punch Practice:

Trajectory: straight ahead 

Ending position: middle of torso

Focus on each move, not speed.

Step back, keep gaze ahead, strong voice, serious expression,

open hands in front of face.

Weeks 4-6

Pivot and chamber only

without holding onto something for balance

Front hand: odd numbers

Immediately return to guard position after blocking. 

Do not block something too far.

Weeks 2 and 3

Continue with the work in Week 1

Low Block Practice:

Beginning position: fist by your opposite ear, palm facing in. Rotate forearm at the end.

Inne-forearm Block Practice

a.k.a Muscle Block

Blocking hand starts at the bottom

Chamber ONLY

Standing foo pivot: heel points to target area

Kicking knee brought up

Knee slightly higher than heel

stay off the heels, move constantly

To move forward: push off back foot

To move backward: push off front foot
